Terms of Service

By accessing or using PAIDLANCE, you confirm that you can form a binding contract with us and that you accept these Terms and agree to comply with them. If you use the Service on behalf of a company or other entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity, and "you" refers to that entity.

If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use the Service.

PAIDLANCE is a human search engine for professionals: members create public profiles describing their skills, work, and location so that other people can find and contact them directly. PAIDLANCE is not a freelance marketplace, employment agency, or recruiter. We do not employ members, we do not act as a party to any engagement between members, and — outside of the optional escrow feature — we do not handle the money members exchange.

Any agreement you enter into with another member (scope, price, delivery, quality) is strictly between you and that member.

You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country, whichever is higher) to create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current information — including your real name — and to keep it updated. Impersonating another person or entity is prohibited and grounds for immediate removal.

You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activity on your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access. One person, one account: creating multiple accounts, or an account for someone else without permission, is not allowed.

You own the content you add to PAIDLANCE — your bio, photos, portfolio items, experience entries, and links ("Member Content"). By posting it, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, and distribute that content for the purpose of operating and promoting the Service (for example, showing your profile in search results, on the homepage, or in our social-media promotion of your profile).

Your profile is public. Profiles are visible to anyone on the internet and are indexed by search engines. Do not post anything on your profile you do not want to be public. Contact details you add (such as email or WhatsApp) are shown so people can reach you — add only details you are comfortable sharing.

You represent that you have the rights to everything you post and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights, including intellectual-property and privacy rights.

Connections exist to enable genuine professional contact. When you send a connection invitation you agree to our connection policy: you know the person or have a genuine professional reason to connect, and you will not use connections to send spam, marketing, promotions, or repeated unsolicited messages.

The recipient decides whether to accept. Either side may disconnect at any time; disconnection disables shared features between you and starts a cooldown period before a new invitation can be sent. We apply rate limits to invitations and disconnections to prevent abuse. Misuse of connections — including harassment or circumventing limits — can lead to suspension.

PAIDLANCE offers a free plan ("Freemium") and paid subscriptions ("Pro" and "Max") billed monthly or yearly. Current prices are shown on the Pro page at the time of purchase. Yearly plans are discounted and billed once per year.

Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period already billed, and your profile and data remain intact on the free plan. Except where required by law, payments already made are non-refundable. We may change prices with reasonable advance notice — changes apply from your next billing cycle.

Payment links let members request and receive money directly from clients. PAIDLANCE charges no commission on your work. Payment processing is performed by third-party payment providers subject to their own terms; you are responsible for the accuracy of payment requests you send and for your own taxes.

Escrow-protected gigs (available on the Max plan) hold a client's funds until the agreed work is delivered. Escrow is optional and offered as a convenience: we are not an arbitrator of work quality. In case of a dispute we may review the information both sides provide and release funds in line with the gig's written scope, but we make no guarantee about the outcome of any engagement.

Using payment features for anything unlawful — including money laundering, fraud, or selling prohibited goods or services — results in immediate termination and may be reported to authorities.

The verification badge indicates that our team has reviewed evidence of a member's identity and professional presence at the time of review. It is not an endorsement, guarantee, or warranty of any member, their work, or their conduct. We may revoke a badge at any time if we believe the profile no longer meets our verification standards.

Domain mapping (Max plan) lets you point a domain you own at your PAIDLANCE profile. You must own or control the domain and keep its registration in good standing. You are responsible for your domain's DNS configuration and renewal; we are not liable for unavailability caused by your domain provider. On downgrade or cancellation, domain mapping is disabled.

You agree not to:

• break any applicable law or regulation, or encourage others to;
• impersonate any person, misrepresent your identity, skills, or affiliation;
• post content that is defamatory, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or that infringes others' rights;
• send spam or unsolicited promotion through connections, email, or any other feature;
• scrape, crawl, or bulk-extract member data, or use the Service to train models on member data without written permission;
• upload malware, attempt to breach security, probe or overload our infrastructure, or bypass rate limits;
• create fake profiles, fake engagement, or automated (bot) accounts — PAIDLANCE is for real humans;
• resell or white-label the Service without our written agreement.

We may remove content and restrict, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate this section, with or without notice depending on severity.

The Service — including the PAIDLANCE name, logo, design, and software — is owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our branding except as needed to reference your own profile. Member Content remains owned by the members who posted it.

You may stop using PAIDLANCE and delete your account at any time from your settings or by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, create risk or legal exposure for us or other members, or if we discontinue the Service. Where practical, we will give you notice and an opportunity to export your content.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including 4, 11, 13, 14, and 16) survive.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any profile, badge, or content is accurate or reliable. You engage with other members at your own risk — carry out your own checks before entering into any agreement or payment.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PAIDLANCE will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the Service or your dealings with other members. Our total liability for all claims in any twelve-month period is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in that period or USD 100. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. For material changes we will give notice — for example by email or a notice on the site — before the changes take effect. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms. The "Last updated" date above always reflects the current version.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lahore, Pakistan, unless the mandatory consumer-protection law of your country of residence provides otherwise.
